I worked on building my confidence 👌 while building my biceps 💪.
Entering a gym on your own can be overwhelming. All the big boys with their big boy biceps and their resting gym faces. I get it. I know how you feel. It's intimidating. I also know that this is something you can overcome.
Confidence doesn't just come to you after you have a flat stomach, elevated glutes, and a set of boulder shoulders. It comes with more than looks. For me, it came with knowledge. Knowledge is power 💡. Being curious, asking questions, and further research helped me develop the skills and knowledge to navigate my way around the gym on my own. I slowly became that girl who can stand up tall and walk into any gym on my own, familiar or unfamiliar. I credit the confidence to educating myself. To this day I still don't know everything about the gym and am constantly learning more. If you're not learning, you're dead.
I challenge you to admit when you don't know and ask a stranger a question. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how friendly and willing to help gym rats are. And if they're not, you probably wouldn't want their advice anyway.
