Yoga for all! This evening we embarked on the beginning of our 3-day, 36 Hour @adventureyogaforkids #KYTT in Boulder, CO and I am already so in love with this group of teacher trainees!!! From England to Indianapolis, this weekend we’re bringing together and building a global community of individuals who passionate about providing and teaching yoga for tots, children, tweens, teens, families, and school groups. Yayyy!!!!!

Durability + Suspension = Total Human Optimization.

The majority of us find ourselves in the same ol’ postures throughout the day. Sitting at a desk. Working on the lap top. Netflix and Chillin’. Sitting thru traffic and many more activities that leave our spine being the recipient of bad posture habits. Before we try to combat our postural compensations through movement, we must bring awareness towards the lack of movement and intent to the specific tissues that will help combat this negative stress. What we need is more sensory information back into our system that will allow for better movement patterns to be expressed.

One of the most simple yet effective techniques we can implement is the use of suspension rings. For some, standing mobility is tough to utilize towards spinal movements as the requirement of some type of feedback mechanism is necessary for people to grab a better understanding of what is working and not working throughout their bodies (sensory feedback). Suspension rings are an amazing tool that allow for coaches to regress and progress clients through different spinal articulation patterns, that allow for the whole central nervous system to be stimulated, therefore allowing for better movement expression from joints and muscles in the periphery. •••
The following video shows a demonstration of a Suspension Ring Spinal Wave! Using the principles of Durability along with the Suspension Ring tool, we prioritize longevity of our nervous system thru increased tissue elasticity and hydration! And with this intention towards increasing longevity, we ultimately contribute towards increased performances on and off the field! •••

😍 Things have changed alot for me over the last 10 years... when I let myself get wrapped up in the shitstorms that have passed through, I feel immense pain, anger & sadness BUT... when I allow myself to be present & find peace in all I do (even the things I HATE like dishes!) and just BREATHE, I find I enjoy myself SO MUCH MORE!! I allowed myself to find joy in cleaning & folding the laundry, doing the dishes, & organizing other parts of our apartment!! For those that know me well, you KNOW how much I HATE cleaning!! 😝 🍷 I chose to pour myself a glass of wine, turn on the BADASS slow jams 🎶 & do the $H!+ that needs to get done!! .
