NEW RECIPE ALERT:🚨Mushroom 🍄Coconut 🥥Curry Noodles 🍜

Rainy Days 🌧 in Hawai’i call for warm noodles. ❤️ This dish is Vegan, Gluten-free and delish!!😋
.
INGREDIENTS:
.
💜 1 cup Bell peppers (red, orange & yellow)
.
💛 3 cups assorted mushrooms (shiitake & cremini)
.
💚 13.5 oz canned coconut milk
.
❤️ 1/3 Cup unsweetened Almond Milk
.
💜 1/8 tsp turmeric
.
💛 1/8 tsp curry Powder
.
💚 1/3 Cup of Water
.
❤️ 1 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey
.
💜 1 pack @lotusfoods Pad Thai noodles
.
💛 3 tsp chili paste
.
💚 Salt & Pepper
.
❤️ Option to add: 1 block firm organic tofu (cubed)
.
DIRECTIONS:
.
💜 In a pot, sauté peppers, mushrooms & tofu for 3-5 mins
.
💛 Add in coconut milk & stir for 1-2 mins
.
💚 Add chili paste, turmeric & curry Powder. (Adjust to taste) Stir.
.
❤️ Add in almond milk, water, maple syrup & salt/pepper to taste.
.
💜 Bring to a simmer, turn off heat.
.
💛 Top soup with cooked pad Thai noodles (follow package). Add sliced red onion, lime wedges, chili flakes and cilantro. Onoliscious! 👌🏽

It’s Fun Friday over in my world as a substitute teacher today and was I ever ready for it! There’s no tired like teacher tired, that’s for sure. 👩🏻‍🏫 •
My parents are in town for the next two weeks for Thanksgiving - this weekend we’re showing them around the lovely city of @fayettevillear ! Excited to grab a cup of @onyxcoffeelab and take part in the city square Christmas tree lighting.

Cranberry sauce I feel like can be an afterthought – you get the obligatory can and call it a day. But cranberry sauce can be so much more – and doesn’t have to be shaped like a can. ✨

My mom would always make a spiced cranberry jello mold with apples + oranges so I made a twist on that and it turned out amazing and tastes just like she used to make. ✨

The holidays can be hard – I lost my mom 9 years ago so there will always be a hole during this time. But doing things like making her recipes and carrying on traditions can be incredibly healing. 🖤

RECIPE:
•1/3 cup Water
•2 tbsp Maple Syrup
•1 tsp Lemon Zest
•½ Lemon (Juice)
•1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
•1/2 tsp Cinnamon
•2 cups Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
•½ Apple (Red, Chopped)
•½ Navel Orange (Chopped)
•1 package Gelatin (I used a @vitalproteins individual stick pack) -
1️⃣In a small sauce pan, combine the water, maple syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes.
2️⃣Add the cranberries and cook for 5-10 minutes. The cranberries should burst and the sauce will thicken. Add in apples, oranges, and the gelatin packet and stir to combine.
3️⃣Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a mold, or storage jar. Allow to chill for at least 2-3 hours before serving.

Most major cities in the US offer composting programs, and that number is only growing ⤴️. Each system can handle different foods and scraps, so make sure you check out your specific area’s composting program. Generally your county or city website will have details about their programs. In the city where I live, the city gives you a separate composting bin 🗑 (separate from recycling and trash) which gets picked up the same day as the other bins. Simple!

While I didn’t have a compost pick up in my apartment, the Union Square Farmer’s Market had bins that you could drop your produce in! When I first started with oils I thought the whole emotions thing was a little bogus. I understood how I could use oils to help with immunity or a cold, but emotions? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I tried out the blend Balance and soon found that my crazy ‘that time of the month’ feelings and emotions were a LOT more balanced. I’ve since learnt that different plants help with different emotions because of their chemical constituents. It’s fascinating!

Sweet potatoes, shiitakes, avocado, seaweed, and pan fried halibut. Miso tahini dressing. *made in a cabin with pam spray and a stove from 1920*

Miso #recipe: 2T tahini, 2 tsp miso paste, 1/2 T lemon juice, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, a few big splashes of coconut aminos, and some chili garlic sauce for a kick. Mix well with a fork, and add in water slowly to get to the consistency you like.

Cauliflower fried rice with green peas, roasted carrots, and grilled chicken 👊🏼 what else... onion, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, smoked paprika, turmeric, cumin, soy sauce, and siracha (similar recipe already on the blog)

So today the thunderstorm has ended and I went out to catch some fresh air I sow this water pond from the leftover rain we had for 3 days... So I parked my car and took this video and picture. The sounds of the birds chirping and the reflection of the water slowly moving made me come at peace with myself trust me this world gives you hints and signs in the smallest details out there ~moonchild

guys I am SO blown away from all the support I received on my story the other day❤️❤️ you guys are all amazing! I’m just so thankful we live in a time where I can post a video to this community and receive more advice that my own doctor.

in case you didn’t see my story, a recent ultrasound came back showing my ovaries completely riddled with new cysts . although I suspected PCOS due to my past hormonal acne, it wasn’t certain because I’ve never had the cysts to prove it. as hard as it is to hear the news, I am grateful to finally have some answers and for the medical system to really take my symptoms seriously.

I will be completely honest in saying I am deeply frustrated that my body is still creating these cysts with a very clean diet and low stress lifestyle..but I am really going to channel this frustration into determination to healing my body the most natural way possible.

Ready to pop bottles and celebrate the holiday? We added #clementine juice and raspberries to @korbel_1882 to make this refreshing and sweet clementine rose. 🍾🥂🍊

The mind is such a powerful thing, but, often times, it can keep us from doing what we’re capable of. I went into a @barrysbootcamp class this AM pretty sore but ready to get after it. We had four rounds of sprints, and I got up to my previous PR of 13.5 mph during the third round. Shortly after, that little voice crept in, saying I couldn’t go any faster for my final round because it was too hard and too fast. That’s when queen @katelemere conveniently reminded us that it was our last shot of class and to give it our all, and, what do ya know, my (sore) ass hit a new sprint PR of 14.0 mph. It’s so crazy how quickly and easily that switch can flip to the negative end of the spectrum. The trick here is being able to recognize when it’s going negative and put things back into perspective, so you can get out of your own head and back to tackling what’s in front of you. If and when that inner dialogue tries to mess with me next (at or outside of a workout), I’m going to think back to that push to 14.0 because I know how good it felt to prove myself wrong. 👊🏼 Happy Friday, friends.💛

A lot of personal practice has been about simplifying lately.
The mindful mantra on repeat = “Let it be simple. Let it be simple.”

The more we practice simplicity, the more space we create for our own mindfulness practice to grow and bloom.
The more attention we give each action and each step, the more space we make for healing.

The falling apart itself brings overwhelm and complexity, and often gives us a lot to sift through, discern and hold. So to be simple about as much as possible is sometimes the only real choice we have.
_
Find the simplicity within each and every step, breath and movement you make. Make your words simple. Make your moves simple. Let it be simple.

Have you guys ever had a chocolate orange? You know.. around the holidays they show up everywhere & it’s literally an orange molded from chocolate? Sounds weird. But it is the most amazing combination of chocolate & citrusy-sweet orange. They’re ADDICTING. If you haven’t tried one I HIGHLY recommend. On that note... this has to be my favorite slice I’ve ever made. I’m usually a chocolate peanut butter/Nutella kind of gal.. but this combination was TOO GOOD. A brownie crust, chocolate cheesecake layer, an orange cheesecake layer, topped with a citrus chocolate topping. This one will definitely impress at your holiday gatherings! •

Crust:
2/3 cup walnuts
1/3 cup @bobsredmill coconut flakes
2 tbsp @beekeepers_naturals cacao honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
3 tbsp @navitasorganics cacao
Water as needed
Blend all ingredients in food processor until a sticky dough forms. Add water as needed. Press into bottom of pan •••
Chocolate layer
1 1/2 cups soaked cashews
1/2 cup cacao
1/3 cup cacao honey or maple syrup (I used a mixture of vanilla @sweetleafstevia drops & the honey)
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Blend all ingredients in blender or processor. Spread over brownie base. Set in freezer.

Orange layer:
1 1/2 cups soaked cashews
1/3 cup coconut oil melted with 2 tbsp @artisanaorganics coconut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
Zest & juice of 2 medium oranges
Blend all together until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer and place freezer to set.

Chocolate topping:
1 melted @eatingevolved chocolate bar
2 tbsp orange juice & 1 tbsp orange Zest
Melt chocolate & add in juice and zest. Pour over orange layer. Set in freezer until firm. I then melted a @theochocolate orange chocolate bar and drizzled it along the edges. :)

YOU GUYS. I made the most heavenly vegan Smokey queso.. I can’t take credit for the base of this recipe as I used @minimalistbaker cashew-less queso recipe & added my own spin on it! Added in some corn, paprika, cilantro, & some @miyokos_kitchen smoked vegan cheese & OMG. This was the perfect Thursday night football treat. My boyfriend even had no idea it was vegan & I was highly upset when he ate the entire thing.. definitely a healthier spin on a comfort food classic! I highly recommend trying for a weekend treat! & @beanfieldssnacks jalapeño chips were literally perfect with this. Happy Friday you guys & have an amazing weekend!
