Though my mom, (Ginger's grandma😉) prefers to keep her face off the Internet, I just want to appreciate her this #mothersday 🤗❤️
She came from a family of hardworking individuals, in a culture that looked upon animals as creatures that have working roles in the family, not simply pets. They had to pay/work for their living! The aspect that back then people couldn't afford to feed themselves; nonetheless feed their animals with pre-made, fancy food made it hard for her to adjust to the modern day of coexisting with family pets! But it's thanks to her acceptance, kindness, love and dedication into promoting animal welfare to this day that allowed me to rescue, work with and adopt the animals I have in these 16 years of my life 🤗 she is the reason half of our pets are alive now, not euthanized by a shelter or owned by people that didn't know better about how to treat each animal. She takes new steps each day to accept and learn about more animals, and has worked with me to drastically improve the lives of many animals that are now in their forever homes. When I'm at school, and the animals need fresh new veggies she never ceases to walk to the nearest grocery store, regardless of the weather to guarantee their health and happiness. Though there's still some roadblocks to overcome, I'm so so proud of the strides she has made to accept and acknowledge that animals are a big part of our family as well, even though it guarantees that our house is never clean again 😂Happy Mother's Day mom ❤️ so proud of how far you've come!
