This is the first summer I won't be dieting through in 2 years - mostly because I have a trip to Italy planned in a month 🇮🇹 🍕 🍦 but also because starting a new job and grad school take priority. This will make my offseason/break from competing over a year - and while I do get the feels to jump back on stage, I also love the flexibility of not counting my food, being able to skip the gym, and focus on time with friends and family. I LOVE the grind that accompanies competing, and I will be back on stage - but there's no time constrictions on that. As so many people wind down from their seasons and start to itch to only take a few weeks off before prepping again for fall shows, I just want to remind you it's OK to slow down. The stage will ALWAYS be there, and your body will be moreso ready if you take time off. Enjoy a once in a lifetime @blacktapnyc milkshake once in a while (don't go off the deep end and make this a daily thing though 😂 still eat those veggies and lift those weights).
