The Shape of Water is brought to us by the incredible visionary director, Guillermo del Toro. Yesterday, I had the honor and the privilege to see this at the Midtown Art Cinema in Atlanta. It is not coming near me for another two weeks and I was going to Atlanta yesterday anyway, so I had to go. Plus, this has been my most anticipated of the year (other than The Last Jedi) since I first heard about it.
Look, I’m gonna write a full review so i don’t want to say much. However, if you can see it or when it comes to a theater near you, I am begging you. See this movie. The Shape of Water is my new favorite of the year and it’s also one of the best movies I had ever seen. From start to finish, every frame, every second, it was just perfect. Every single thing about this is perfect. I mean, this movie is unbelievably astonishing and so powerful. Some may not like it because it is kinda weird but it you don’t, I don’t understand. This is a film from a true filmmaker. I’m gonna write a review here soon and have it posted by tonight. This opens everywhere on the 22nd so if you can, see it. #TheShapeOfWater #GuillermoDelToro #SallyHawkins #MichaelShannon #RichardJenkins #OctaviaSpencer #MichaelStuhlbarg #DougJones #review #movie #MidtownArtCinema #Atlanta
