Steam Bun with sweet and spicy pork, pickled onion, sriracha and paprika mayo, spring onion and coriander! So tasty you could eat a thousand!
Here’s how you make it:
Meat: Cut thin pieces of pork and put in a marinade with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, chilli and cane sugar. Let it marinade for at least two hours. Fry the meat in a dry smoking hot pan.
Buns: Bake the buns or buy it at your local Asian supermarket. There is plenty of recipes online so just pick one. Steam the buns for a minute or two, just before serving.
Onions: put thinly slices shallots in a 1-2-2 brine (vinegar, sugar, water), let it sit at least 20 minutes.
Mayo: make a mayo with egg, vinegar, sriracha, cayenne, paprika powder and oil.
