Now that’s my kinda salad bowl. I’ve really switched things up this week. If you missed it I’ve been saying how my immune system isn’t great and living such a busy life, I really can’t afford to be sick.
This week I really focused on what foods I was putting into my body and not just thought about the calories. I was thinking quality rather than quantity. I made sure I was hitting my calories but by eating good nutritious foods with plenty of micronutrients. .
And I couldn’t feel better. I suffer massively with bloating and I’m super sensitive to some kinds of foods. Honestly the difference in not only energy levels but bloating I’ve felt this week is crazy. .
It just reminds me you can’t beat a good diet. Of course I love my little treats but it’s important to fill your body with the best kinds of foods.
I’m a sucker for colorful foods. And unfortunately the things that can attract my eye is not always the best for you. By putting variation into my diet, ensure my plate is full of color and different foods, I can keep myself interested and not get bored. .
Things I did a bit differently.
1. I focused on avoiding processed foods as much as possible. At the end of the day, I know processed foods can make our lives easier but sometimes you really don’t know what chemicals your putting in your body. What additives are in that certain food to keep it from not going off.
2. Dairy. I’ve tried to avoid dairy. Not only can it make you feel anxious but I find dairy doesn’t always agree with me. The only thing that I find doesn’t give me a dodgy stomach is whey protein. It used to a few years ago but it’s ok now. But milk, cheese and unfortunately ice cream can make my tummy funny.
3. Have a variety of different fruits and vegetables. I actually loved this, it gave me a chance to switch things up, find what I like with what. Looked up new recipes 🍓.
These are just the little changes I made this week and it’s fun to change things up and see what works for your body. Not everyone suits one diet. It’s finding what suits you. .
HAPPY SATURDAY 🤗
