If you’ve met Jacob, even for a brief time, you’d know he’s incredibly supportive of our second amendment. As am I.
However, since I became pregnant, about a year ago, I’ve been neglecting to carry this impeccably beautiful, life saving, peace of mind protection.
As if being pregnant wasn’t uncomfortable enough, I was supposed to add one more *thing* to my body? Uhh, No, thanks.
Now that Vayda has been here for almost five months I’ve told myself over and over again “Nope, between a car seat, stroller, and a baby bag, I absolutely do not need to *carry* anything else. *It* won’t happen to us.” Until today. Today I read two different posts about moms being stalked in Target yesterday by men. The same exact Target that I happened to be in yesterday too. For all I know, they could’ve been following me and I didn’t have time to notice since I was rushing through the check out so that I could run out of the store due to a screaming baby with a poop filled diaper. 🤷🏻♀️ Quite literally, It could’ve been us.
That’s all my excuses needed to hear.
That’s too close to home for me and I refuse to allow myself or my daughter to fall victim in a very serious issue that our country is facing.
I will not allow fear to control when and where I go or always waiting until Jacob can so that we feel more protected.
Evil will not win in this house.
