One year ago I began taking the Plexus Triplex. It started working and I started paying attention. Behind the products are some very impressive scientists and doctors. So, I’m putting a spotlight on the head of R&D and the Scientific Advisory Board. (1) Alan Jiang, M.D., Ph.D
Dr. Jiang is responsible for research and development, product innovation, medical affairs, claims substantiation, and science education. Dr. Jiang was appointed as faculty member and Laboratory Director of the Center for Human Nutrition, the world-class research center at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Jiang has a Ph.D. in Nutrition from University of Minnesota and received his M.D. (cum laude graduate) from the College of Medicine at Zhejiang University in China, one of the most elite schools in Asia.
Scientific Advisory Board (2) Dr. Andre Marette is a Professor of Medicine at Faculty of Medicine, serving as Research Chair in the pathogenesis insulin resistance and cardiovascular complications, as well as the Scientific Director for the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods at Laval University. Dr. Marette is an internationally renowned expert on the metabolic and cardiometabolic diseases as well as the gut microbiome. He has published over 200 papers, reviews, and book chapters. (3) Dr. Lawrence J. Cheskin, a board-certified gastroenterologist and weight management expert, is the Director of Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center, and Director of Clinical Research for the Global Obesity Prevention Center at Johns Hopkins University. He has dedicated more than 30 years to research, education, and combating obesity. (4) Dr. James Versalovic is Pathologist in Chief, Vice Chair of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, and Director of the Texas Children’s Microbiome Center. His primary research focus has been the composition and function of the human microbiome, probiotics, and gastrointestinal microbiology. (5) Dr. Sarvenaz Zand is a board-certified dermatologist with a dual M.D. from Harvard Medical School and MIT, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
