Wanna smell my pocket melon?😋 These are Queen Anne’s Pocket Melons and you don’t eat them, you just smell them. ‘Victorian women were known to carry these in their pockets to counteract the rough aromas of life in the days before deodorant.’ Kinda funny. From a few weeks ago at Renegade Acres. There’s also pumpkins and melons and squash in the background

Creature of the night - I hate these things with a passion. Tomato hornworms consume entire leaves and stems on our plants. They are very large and I will admit that I jump back every time I find one (I'm not the only one!) True terrors of the field.

Harvesting Pumpkins and Winter Squash is one of my favorite fall activities 🎃🍁! Shoutout to @citygalgardens for kicking butt harvesting these and more with me through the drizzle ☔✊ I'm so grateful for her presence and all she does! These beauties will begin making their appearances this weekend at Detroit's Eastern Market and the Howell Farmers' Market.
