Thereโ€™s actually some interesting research that shows we tend to value physical possessions less when we feel loved and accepted by others, because relationships can provide a sense of comfort, insurance, and protection. They truly are the most valuable things in our lives.
When you don't feel appreciated by a loved one it hurts like a knife! Or so that's what I'd describe it like. I have been there in the past with a sibling.
However.. wake up call... Itโ€™s far easier to pinpoint what weโ€™re not getting than it is to be honest with ourselves about what weโ€™re not giving. Perhaps you want people to check in with your more frequently. Are you checking in with them? Maybe you want people to ask more about your personal life. Are you asking them about theirs?
Give the type of love you want to receive. Give praise. Notice the little things. Offer help without it being asked of you.
Iโ€™m not suggesting you should always be the one giving. If it feels like a constant one-way street, then it might be time to reevaluate that relationship. But in most healthy ones, giving more freely creates an environment of consideration and generosity.

I'm sleepy today!
I hit the gym for cardio, biceps & back weight training then went onto Oatley for a 1 hour trip due to the trains being down to teach a strong vinyasa followed by a pregnancy class.
I went to cosy up in my bed this afternoon with an intention on chilling for 30 minutes and woke 3 hours later...
Well it is Sunday after all.
I'm enjoying the bedroom space at the minute as we have a baby changing table second hand from gumtree! It's sounds cheesy but i just can not stop looking at it, and put bits on it... ha ha . What a brood! Enjoying this time just relaxing and taking it all in. So much gratitude.โค

Today I woke after having the loveliest dreams..
I woke up so content and blissful.
I felt all magical! Sounds cheesy right but I swear my body must have released dopamine!
It was really wondeful because often I have woken up feeling sluggish and damm right pregnant lately! Like sore, achy and moody! Today I feel full of energy, motivation and excitment!
I'm off to China on Monday for work/babymoon with the @teaguildaustralia and I can't wait!
We will be doing many Tea tours on this trip and being introduced to some facinating professionals in the tea world!
As the Tea Guild's Nutritionist Ill be blogging my time in China and the interesting education ill learn on tea along the way!

Well I've been busy filming! Filming all sorts... and falling over and laughing and being silly at the same time.
I have gym exercises suitable for each trimenster of pregnancy and yoga poses to accompany them too. Each workout is a mixture of either strength and yoga or cardio and yoga with a lovely cool down including some prenatal mindful meditation too.
Look out for these, coming so so soon.
I personally believe that staying active in pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for your baby as well as yourself. As soon as you stop moving, your confidence drops, your body becomes lazy and your mind gets filled with chatter and starts to work overtime. Now who wants that with a newborn?! So stay active, eat well and find joy through each month of pregnancy.

Yes bought sprouts first pair of yoga pants ready for some baby yoga with mom. (Weird saying mum at min seems so unreal).

One interesting thing I have researched into a few times is the benefits of house plants! I LOVE HOUSEPLANTS! I am guilty of owning a few even in our small apartment!

Back in the GYM!

After 2 weeks off, I took me and bump for a workout! ๐Ÿ’ช
I'm lucky as in our apartment complex we have two gyms on site that is part of the rent we pay so I have no excuse really! I roll out of bed and roll in the gym! Harder at times though being pregnant! I want to stay tonned and healthy so I'm strong for birth and for sprout! (Baby)! Today I did 20 mins cardio (10 cross trainer, and 10 bike). When I bike now I feel I can not dip low as I feel like I'm squashing my belly too much so I sit upright when cycling now. Then I did chest, shoulders and triceps with free weights! 9kg weight in each hand so 18kg in total chest press and same with shoulder press. Free weights are great as they help tone the obliques too (the side stomach)! If I feel it impacts or stretches my belly too much though I go with a lower weight to finish off! I do 10-12 reps and 3 rounds of each.
Loved it today! Feeling good and halfway through the pregnancy!

When practicing yoga:
MAKE SPACE IN YOUR HOME.
By practicing in the same place at home you create a groove in your mindโ€”the memory of past daysโ€™ experiences makes it easier to begin today. Store props nearby so that getting started doesnโ€™t require a lot of running around. An inspiring image or statue, an Oriental carpet, or a specially selected cushion can mark this place as special.
My original yoga space has been lost lately as we have been busy and had people staying. Its a small one bed apartment. But what we do have is a little den between 2 bookshelves with a beanbag. You can read in there, zen out and just chill.
Make some cosy space to escape too.

Its a seafood platter for two people!
Sometimes pregnancy can make you feel really hungry though, sometimes it can make you feel really sick!
In the first trimenster you don't need to increase your calories. In the second and third you can but only by about 200-300 to ensure a healthy weight is kept! Don't get me wrong if I want that 500 calories cake I'm gonna have it but you just swap and change things around. 200-300 calories is a couple of slices of toast, a banana, boild eggs and handful of almonds, Pita Pockets and Hummus, Yogurt with Fruit and Nuts. So there are lots of healthy options!
Keep healthy, treat yourself with awareness.
