The Yankees are reportedly “pushing hard” tonight to make a deal with the Mets. If you haven’t yet heard, there’s been a swirl of rumors regarding the two New York teams and the Miami Marlins surrounding a potential 3-team trade that could send Noah Syndergaard to the Yankees. Although nothing is imminent, there definitely seems to be some legitimacy to these rumors as Ken Rosenthal and many others have reported on it.
Syndergaard, 26, went 13-4 with a 3.03 ERA/2.80 FIP and a 9.04 K/9 in 154.1 innings this past season. He is under control through the 2021 season.
However, a potential deal may not include Syndergaard but instead another NYM starter (Zack Wheeler). Once again, nothing is at all confirmed, but more so some rumors with a lot of heat behind it.
