You'd have to say that the latest iteration of the Parmigiani Tonda Métrographe is gorgeous. I'm partial to the white face myself but many are of the opinion, the black dial face is more interesting. To each their own I guess!
The dial face is actually the big change from the earlier models. Silvered white or oxidized black, with hands in matching colours, which is the official description.
With the new dial, the chronograph counters are smaller and have a raised periphery to create more depth and details. The centers are decorated with snailing. The position of the date window has changed location from 6 to 12 o’clock.
Rhodium plated indexes are now a bit smaller and around the hour markers is a tachymeter scale. All these changes makes the dial busy but without disturbing its sophisticated looks.
The fully polished case is still 40mm but it has become a little thinner: from 12.2mm to 11.7mm. This one will burn a hole in your wallet to a size of USD11,500.
