One of the hardest working clients from the start @ungy19. From the start, it was never about a six pack. He wanted to become better in every aspect of everyday life. Training like an athlete means training for long term health. Oh and also, it's just more fun and allows for more variety. Speed, power, the core and functional strength allows the individual to not only see a big difference in their body but also everyday "human movements". Even though he wasn't training to be a pro athlete, he wanted to feel and look more like an athlete. You can say that he completed that task. Unilateral exercises, ie working one limb at a time, are a vital element in your training program, especially for athletes, the majority of whom perform their sports with one arm or on one leg, eg boxers, javelin and shot put throwers, tennis players or runners and footballers, all use their limbs independently at a given time.
As swordsman, ronin and author Miyamoto Musashi said " You can only fight the way you practice"

Advantages of single limbed training include their
- functionality
- strengthening the weaker side of your body,
- injury prevention as the stabilizing muscles of joints like the shoulder girdle, elbow, hip and knee work overtime
- improved balance and coordination
- core strength as it counters loads on one side of the body.

You're only as strong as your weakest link so attack the weakness and turn it into a strength.

10 minute ascending bike warmup.
300 cals for time.
20 minute Cooldown.
As usual, entered "zombie" mode.
1) Pick a point in front of you and never move the head. Glance down just by looking down without moving head.
2) breathe and exhale FULLY. Ramping up bike every so often.
3) NEVER hunch over, sway side to side, or rotate body. Cuts off airflow.
OKC heat makes it so much worse.
