Progress Pic: I Finished MetaShed 21 Day Program yesterday.. Back up to 207lbs. Feeling Great! Still lots of work to do but this was nothing like I was expecting but to gain 16lbs on a weight loss program in only 21 Days I'm impressed!

After yesterday's hotel workout, I was thrilled to be back in my Happy Place this morning: my basement gym! I wanted to work Legs so I warmed-up using MetaShred Extreme. Then I did Cathe Friedrich's Gym Style Legs which is a workout I haven't done in ages. For an added challenge, I went heavy with the weights and I completed the standing leg work while wearing my BodyRock weighted vest (10 extra lbs). I also wanted to work Core so I did a series of isometric holds in between sets of Plank Spider Jumps.

This is the heaviest I've lifted in yearZzz especially after coming off of 2 elbow surgeries. 🤕
Today I pressed 365lbs 💪🏼with my
body weight at 177lbs ⚖️
I know, I know my hips elevated, I DON'T A F*CK😤
The goal is obviously to press the weight without doing so but this is a great beginning for me 😃
I spread myself thin between #JiuJitsu and Bodybuilding and Im 💯% natural, always have been always will be. Ultimately, I'm extremely grateful. 😁🙏🏼

💥Muscle hypertrophy is a term for the growth and increase of the size of muscle cells. The most common type of muscular hypertrophy occurs as a result of physical exercise such as weight lifting, calisthenics, and the term is often associated with weight training or body weight training.
Gains don’t happen overnight. It takes your muscles time to respond and adapt to stimuli. Resistance training will develop the strength gains and growth.
There are many reasons to add some muscle including helping prevent the effects of aging, boosting hormone production, having a positive impact on body composition, and having an increase in day-to-day energy.

#WorkoutWednesday with this MetaHIIT Upper Body Workout! Alternate between 20 seconds of the high-intensity variation and 40 seconds of the low-intensity variation. That's 1 round. Do 5-10 rounds for each MetaHIIT routine.
MetaHIIT 1

High-Intensity variation: burpee

Low-Intensity variation: bear crawl
MetaHIIT 2

High-Intensity variation: pushup

Low-Intensity variation: rolling plank
MetaHIIT 3

High-Intensity variation: mountain climber

Low-Intensity variation: break-dancer

You can also add any one of these to the end of your workout as a finisher if you don't want to treat it as a full workout.
