Here’s a great lower body workout if you don’t have much equipment lying around. (Kettle bells can be swapped for dumbbells or water bottles for a home workout!) πŸ’πŸ½

Stiff leg deadlift x10
Single leg RDL x10 each leg
Sumo squats x10
Reverse lunges, elevated weights x10 each leg
Side lunges, elevated weights x10 each leg
Curtsy lunge with a kick through x10 each leg

Repeat the circuit 3-4 times with as little rest as possible between exercises & 60-90 second rest between each circuit.

Doing my best β€˜school photo’ pose, and not being 100% lurker.

I am a fitness addict. A self confessed fitness junkie. A healthy obsession? Or am I completely mad? And I just can’t get enough. I have built and operated @hotyogasociety1 and @cyclebeat studios for the past 12 years and taking some time to get to know the #boutiquefitness studios a little better as I take as many classes as possible around London.

Today’s workout @metabolicldn Located in #camden #moringtoncrescent this is a great space with a good range of #CrossFit style classes. .
I tried the 30 minute lunchtime blast. A mixture of rowing intervals with body weight exercises. Short and intense 30 second blasts with 10 second recovery.

Loved the space. Loved the vibe. The class was a good workout but I did come away feeling like I could have done the same thing myself in the gym. To be fair though, I do know how to push myself pretty hard.

Had to have a go on the monkey rope after class. Would have like to have used a bit more equipment or structure that I couldn’t do myself in the gym. But, for those wanting an alternative to gym and a chance to try accessible #CrossFit style classes, this place is great.

It's been a while since I've been to an actual gym and/or HIIT class, when they used to be my staple #fitness routine. So today was the day and I'm not going to lie l, I was absolutely terrified about going to the new venue. I think it goes back to how terrified I was just before the #virginlondonmarathon2017 the fear of failing, of making a fool of myself, basically me putting pressure on me 😬 Throughout the day it has been a constant battle of "should I go", "maybe I'll go next week", "will they notice if I don't turn up"...I'm glad to say the competitive voice inside my head won and I went. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

I've heard great things about Metarow @metabolicldn and it definitely didn't disappoint. The class really pushed me to my limits and I'm pretty sure it will hurt just to breath tomorrow given I've worked so many muscles I didn't even know I had tonight! 🀣 .

I'm also really happy with my distance 3 rounds of #rowing (4mins x2 and 5mins X1) and I managed 3.25km in total with my last round being 1,216m. I also hadn't realised that setting 10 was the highest setting...so after round 2 the instructor came over and put it down laughing at me haha...for some reason I thought 10 was the easiest, apparently not! Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants to try something different πŸ’ͺ🏼 #cardio #metarow #metaboliclondon

Was a perfect last workout before heading to the US for @rundisney and VACATION time! I’m going to be using all the hotel gyms to make sure I am back on form to go for top spot when I’m back! 1500m+ I am coming for you! @lh_metabolicldn I will make you proud, thanks for being a great motivator and coach!

I did a @metabolicldn taster class at Sweatlife Fitness festival this summer which was amazing but going to the studio was next level! I absolutely loved it..@lh_metabolicldn put us through some mobility exercises followed by a full body circuit and EMOM weighted workout, all building up to the meta mile and 60 burpee finisher ! Back to basics, functional training which focusing on technique and form!

Maybe my fitness hasn’t slipped as much as I’d thought. This morning was Meta-row with the squad, always have massive love for @metabolicldn and what @lh_metabolicldn is creating.
In the time I’ve been away @metabolicldn have linked up with @puma and there is now a leaderboard for distance in the rowing section of the session. I always compete with myself but it felt good to know I had the ability to get in the board and also to top half of it with 1376m in five minutes, there are some fantastic people on that board with such great distances. My goal now is to simply beat my previous weeks distance and know I went MAX EFFORT.
Was an absolute pleasure to see and workout with @lukejedwards @wuthecleaner and @jagogirl, you’ve been missed.
Also to see the queen of burpees @cameraeats you seemed far too happy with the idea of burpees, I just couldn’t keep up.
I NEED to see @sophitnessuk soon as it’s just getting silly now. I miss you pocket rocket!

Pretty nails workout last night. I haven’t rowed like that in a couple years... very hungry today... pass me the carbs and protein, and a burger. #sweatyrower

Then 1 x:

10 overhead step ups 20kg
10 man makers 12.5kg
Then a 1 mile run and 60 full burpees for time... (managed 10 minutes)

Another great 7am session at @metabolicldn done! And yet again it confirms my belief that it is absolutely amazing! So hard, brutal, effective and pure nasty!
This morning was:
1️⃣ 2 sets of four minute row (1050m) into AMRAP 7 x DB Thrusters, 7 x press ups, 7 x burpees
2️⃣ Active rest which is a core burner every time
3️⃣ Five minute row (1323m) into AMRAP of 80x air squat and 20x KB swings.

Holy moly, the sweat is dripping off me after this morning's workout at @metabolicldn . Can't say I've been on a rowing machine properly since school so that was one intense hour. Most likely the squats, weights, box steps, lunges, high-knees, thrusts, burpees and press-ups that we did between rowing intervals didn't help. Big thanks to @lh_metabolicldn for being just the right side of tough. No slacking off allowed, apparently. But at least I didn't want to cry either.
