Great lunch at Messinn the other day in downtown Reykjavik. This restaurant specializes in seafood in a rustic, nautical setting. Had the plaice with capers, lemon, butter, and tomatoes. A very classic pairing that goes well with flat fish. The fish was pristine and cooked beautifully. Portions are quite generous. The sauce was tasty and buttery rich, though on the oily side since the sauce was not an emulsified butter sauce. Regardless, it was a pleasant surprise to dine here and enjoy a quality meal at 2,100 ISK (equivalent to $19 USD). This is definitely the best meal I've had eating out in Iceland thus far.
