Since the ailment affects an individual's hearing, one may lose confidence to have conversations with other or at work, which can contribute to depression and anxiety.
🍏Golden delicious are the best all rounder apple in our opinion. They contain all the usually benefits of an apple 👍🏻Soluble fibre 👍🏻Vitamin C 👍🏻Quercetin 👍🏻great snack. But they are also the apple with the lowest amounts of salicylates which can cause irritability, hives and tinnitus in people that are sensitive to this compound. #apples#salicylates#menieres#healthysnack#markets
Today I am working through some finals exam questions using the the Pastest app (@pastest_ltd). It’s great because you never know what’s coming, so you can only be as prepared as you will be on the day! It replicates the stress, but from the comfort of a bench in the sun☺️ I can also refer back to my notes from time to time 🙊 (Well, we don’t want to be toooo hard on ourselves now do we!?) As soon as I read this question I remembered my notes on Meniere’s Disease! I hope that’s the right answer! I highly recommend this app for testing yourself on the go! 👩🏼🏫 #medschool#medicine#medlife#medstudent#finals#medicina#Pastest#studyingmedicine#menieres#ENT#ear#anatomy#anatomia#neuro
Hearing loss isn't easy but by far, the hardest thing is having to repeat the words "What?" and "What did you say?" over and over. It's the most exhausting part of being hearing impaired. You struggle to listen to someone speak with all the other sounds competing in the room to drown out their voice. It's an assault on your one good ear. After asking the same people and a few of your new closest strangers in the same conversations for the hundredth time in a day, sometimes it's just easier to pretend you heard them and walk away...

I did it!! I set myself a challenge 30 days ago. No matter what I am doing, no matter how I am feeling; I will achieve 10,000 steps every single day. Some days I walked in the rain; other days I did a million laps around the house; I pushed through when my knee was completely locked up; I got through between the vertigo attacks that plague my existence. I did it. I feel like I'm back at square one with my fitness. I hate how my body has changed, I hate that I can't fit into the clothes I worked so hard to get into in the first place. I've let myself gain so much weight that it's left me miserable and depressed some days. I've avoided social events in fear that people will notice how much I have changed and I've spent many nights and days crying in frustration.
But if I take it one day at a time; eventually I will get there.
Meniere’s disease is a fairly rare vestibular condition that affects about 615,000 Americans (a little less than 0.2% of the population). The primary symptoms are a feeling of fullness in the affected ear, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), vertigo, and the potential for hearing loss.
