I’m out in the bush for the week putting out fires, so unfortunately, any orders placed until Friday won’t be shipped until Saturday, or after Christmas. If you’re in Melbourne and need something before Christmas, get in touch, as I’ll be able to get to you on Saturday. Sorry kids, duty calls. In the meantime, here’s a cute little tea strainer I made as a Christmas gift 🔥🔥
The other day I had a great chat with @irinka_atamanenko, who is the founder of The All Star Women.

What's up Melbourne?🇦🇺 🌀🌀I'm here all week and looking for suggestions for any arts type happenings that might be going on or anyone who wants to say hey, studio visits, exhibitions? 🌀🌀 What do you suggest? What are your favourites? It's been a while since I've lived here and everything is the same..but different 🙃🙂 #melbournearts#melbourneartists#melbourneillustrators#australianartists
What artist isn’t inspired by the ethereal beauty and spirituality of Tasmania? From the moment Mainlanders alight from the plane, the environment begins to lathe off the sharp, scratchy patches of their brittle urban spirits; anointing them with the balm of an ancient landscape. For designers, it is a haven where they can dream unfettered by the endless noise of the city.
It is an ideal base for textile designer Yolanda Zarins, who handprints and dyes fabrics from her studio in Southern Tasmania. Her work is heavy influenced by her surroundings. @yolandazarins Image Credit
Meet and connect artists, designers alike Yolanda Zarin at Decor + Design Show Designers Lane. See who's exhibiting in 2018?
I have challenged myself to creating days of Christmas angel paintings. I know that sometimes I will use older pieces. As I balance surgery, I may not be able to create brand new pieces but as much as possible I will. I have lots of angels to use as back up and else did an angel drawing while waiting for surgery that I could use as I heal and keep creating. The full post on my website of all 12 angels will grow organically as continue to add to it until the last post on Christmas Day. 🎄🌀🙏 I have added the link in bio to view the whole post as it evolves. I have decided that I should be using a hashtag. Im still learning how to navigate Instagram... I will start today as I love this personal challenge and want to do it again. #12daysofchristmasangels. Of course it won’t be twelve this time as I haven’t used it in the first few days but I will keep learning and finding my success path as I go. I may just re add some linked images like the day 2 angel with my daughters cat etc... 🎁😇🌀 All original angels are for sale and can be viewed on the post. They will be updated to the sales and merchandise pages in the next few weeks but in the meantime please pm me for details of any piece that calls to you. I plan to develop these new angels into a new large scale Angel Blessings calendar for 2018 which will be accessible on the merchandise page or as a direct link from my website homepage: cherylebannon.com #12daysofchristmas#angels#blessings#christmasangels#linkinbio
My friends at @co_ground and I are putting on an Artists Market today at the new @cogroundcoffee location in Brunswick - 29 Sydney Rd (corner of Brunswick Rd and Sydney Rd) from 10am-4pm. There’s always a beautiful mix of locally made artwork, jewellery and other lovely things plus live music. You can also grab yourself a coffee, toasties and alcoholic drinks with all proceeds going towards education and livelihood programs in the Asia-Pacific🌴
Then tonight at the same place from 6pm, the celebrations begin at our Co-Ground Festivus. Picture a good old fashioned block party with DJs, craft beer, wine and espresso martinis 🍸The party is free, you just need to RSVP - follow the links on the Co-Ground Facebook page x
