Driving along I-20 West, you may have spotted this mega mural in downtown Shreveport. "Once in a Millennium Moon," as it's called, was commissioned to honor the new millennium, took 2600 community painters to complete, and at 25000 square feet, is one of the largest public artworks in the nation. The 19 people and 40 objects in the mural each represent a unique aspect of Shreveport/Bossier lifestyle and culture, and were decided upon after interviewing hundreds of individuals. .
Consider it Northwest Louisiana, encapsulated.
