This is not Chow Mein. It's Sara Udon or in Japanese, 'plate noodles'. It looks like the Cantonese version of fried noodles but this one, originated from Nagasaki perfecture shy aways from Chinese flavorings but rather go distinct with Japanese taste, less salty and sweet.
I had this big plate of Sara Udon at Osaka Ohsho House of Gyoza SM Megamall located at the Mega Fashion Hall last night after the screening of @justsarahg Finally Found Someone. It's like coincidence that I had the Sara Udon after watching Sarah Geronimo on the big screen. By the way #FFS is an entertaining love-filled movie. Go check it out!
Now going back, my big plate of Sara Udon is a blockbuster like Finally Found Someone! I can't even finish this one. It is served on a big plate garnished with mixed vegetables, seafoods, and meat all over. Yummy but one small tummy cannot finish this great noodle dish. For P320, it's perfect for sharing.
Osaka Ohsho is known for their Gyoza but I wasn't able to try em. Maybe on my next food trip and visit I will order the gyoza.
In the meantime, Sara Udon is great. Try Sara Udon on your next #osakaohsho visit and bring in your friends because you can't finish this alone. Well, except if you're terribly hungry perhaps and you have a big tummy 😋! Delicious! Domo arigato gozaimasu!
