Hereโ€™s a couple of basic drills to get some blood flowing in those muscles. The key is to not go to pain or discomfort. Youโ€™ll get further by moving in the capacity you can without pain right now. Stand tall, good posture and breathe while you do these. Start with 10 reps per drill. In either progression, you should have abs drawn in, actively be pushing through your hands and keep hips up! M.E.D.M My. Every. Day. Move.!!!! Good morning people! Hereโ€™s a move that I do often to help with my hamstrings, mid back awareness and to get my legs going a bit. This squat variation clues you in to who is winning the battle between your hamstrings and your core. Ideally youโ€™re working your way to sitting as deep as you can in a squat, then extending the knee so that you maintain a neutral spine and straight knee angle, and all the while youโ€™re holding those elbows open. When I do this I feel my hamstrings, I feel my mid back doing an awful amount of work and my heart rate goes up after 6 reps. For sets and reps... I would do 3 sets of 10 reps in the morning after youโ€™re a little warm. You could also do these at the gym prior to deadlifts, squats, and any other closed chain exercise. Good morning everyone!!! Hereโ€™s a move for you to explore opening your chest in a very supported environment. Your on the ground... you wonโ€™t fall. Itโ€™s all about opening the chest, lengthening your collar bones and squeezing the moving arms shoulder blade towards the spine. Do 2 sets of 10-20 reps per side.
Oh! During set up make sure that you have a 90 degree bend in bother your hips and knees! Also, when your open the arm, make sure that your nose stays in line with the hand moving. If your neck wonโ€™t rotate any further then your hand must stop! Lastly, when you rotate donโ€™t let the knees follow the hand and peel off the ground. The knees stay down! Have a great day!
