1 cup mixed nuts
3/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla
Blits the nuts in a blender till course.
Mix nuts with cinnamon powder
In a bowl mix honey, syrup and vanilla.
Mix the syrup and honey with the nuts.
1 1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp sugar
3/4 cup cold cubed butter.
2 tbsp ice cold water.
Rub the flour and butter using your finger tips until you get consistency of fine breadcrumbs.
Add 2 tbsp water and quickly form a dough and chill for 20 mins. **better to make the dough in a food processor.
Grease a 8" tart tin with butter.
Roll the dough out, into a round disk between cling film, making sure it's larger then your tart tin.
Open one side of the cling film, and slowly, Put the disk on top of the tart tin. Press lightly to mould the disk into the tin.
Put the tin in the fridge for 20 mins.
Preheat oven 180c
Blind bake 10 mins
Spread the nut mixture evenly on top and bake for 25 mins or until your pastry looks golden and crispy.
Let it cool down for 10 mins then serve with icecream.
