I woke up thinking about the world and wanted to put my head and heart in a state of mind that would support my spirit. To begin my sit, I imagined myself at the top of a set of stairs. I really went with it and pictured a set of stairs in a rainforest I went to years ago. At the bottom of the stairway was a state of peace, calm, and relaxation. I took note of how I was feeling. And took a step down closer to peace and contentment. Further I descended, going down toward relaxation...down...down...to a state of peace. It was a comfortable, safe descent to contentment. Step by step, at my own pace, becoming more and more relaxed with each step I took. Took another step down...and another...more deeply relaxed with each step. Allowed my mind to drift and my body to soften, heavy and comfortable. Moved down the stairway, down, down, down...closer. I could see the bottom. There was a waterfall, animal sounds, sunlight and greenery. At the bottom I sat and was still, connected with everything and nothing at all. I opened my eyes ready and grounded. May all beings be free.
