I paired mine with some greens, sweet potato fries, steamed Brussels in bone broth, and duh 🥑 . Can't wait for you all to enjoy!

Jalapeño cilantro feta turkey burgers
1 package of organic ground turkey
1 jalapeño deseeded and chopped
1 red bell pepper chopped
2 handfuls cilantro
1 handful spinach
3/4 of a small red onion chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1/3 cup feta cheese (omit if doing whole30)
2-3 Tbsp @bonafideprovisions turkey bone broth (or avocado oil)

Sauté your onion, jalapeño, bell pepper, cilantro, garlic, and spinach in some @bonafideprovisions bone broth (or avocado oil) for 5 minutes. In a separate bowl mix the seasonings, feta and ground turkey. Add your veggie mixture to th turkey mix,roll into balls, flatten with hands, and add to a grill pan with some bone broth. Cook 4-5 minutes on each side.

Sweet potato fries
3 sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fries
Spray with some avocado oil and add smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, and cinnamon. Cook 400 for 35-40 minutes.

I was really feeling myself yesterday obviously because I kept taking selfies like these all day, and everywhere 🙊 oh well, great segway to tell you about my new workout plannnn 😁 Weeee 🎊
A trainer was graceful enough to help me with my workouts and workout routine! His name is Justin Davis (Instagram: @judd_k_davis) and even though he's not Instagram savvy yet, he's got amazing credentials and I'm so excited and so privileged to work with him to clean up my workout act 🏋🏽‍♀️
Here is a little synopsis of what I'll be doing👇🏽
1) starting hypertrophy specific training (HST): "a type of training focused on increasing Muscle Cross Sectional Area. More area in the muscle to store glycogen, and more glycogen stores in the muscle lead to greater force production over an extended period of time." Justin Davis.
2) Doing weight training 3 times a week and light cardio 3 times a week. I say "light".. for now 😫
3) Requested to focus on booty, core, shoulders, and upper back so my workouts will emphasis just that.
4) Will try to share all the workouts with you with specific notes that @judd_k_davis provided for me.

I hope everyone had a great long weekend! I spent some time at a friends cottage with some girlfriends in the Bay of Quinte area. Yesterday I needed some time to relax and rejuvenate, so I made some time for self care. This included cooking and a relaxing bath. What did you get up to this long weekend? This week I'm enjoying:

⚡️TACO CAT spelled backwards is TACO CAT⚡️ Isn't that the most profound thing ever?! 😂 I've been tagged by some of my favorite sweaty betties to share #whatsonmyplate so this afternoon and for the whole week I've prepped some grilled chicken boobies, grilled bell peppers, zucchini, and onions. Normally I'd top that over some rice but today's #tacotuesday🌮 so chicken tacos with avocado it is!

I love grilling my food. It gives it a ton of flavor and it's a healthier approach to cooking. My marinade for this chicken is really simple: 2 chicken breasts, juice from one lemon, chili powder, paprika, sea salt, and pepper. This is my go to marinade because I can always top my chicken with some sort of sauce later like home made teriyaki or sugar free BBQ sauce. Then during the week I don't get too bored of eating the same menu items from the food I've prepped. More ideas can be found at #gofiteats

The plateau 🏃🏻‍♀️
I'm quite bloated from travel in this photo but I've accomplished a lot over the last few weeks. I've significantly leaned out my entire body and overall I'm happy with how I've been leaning out over the last few weeks- but now it's time to take the next step... Right now my body is becoming too accustomed to my workouts and diet... and for that reason, in order to achieve what I want....I know I'm going to need to "shock" my body.

Every time I think about shocking the body I hear Arnold in my head: "shock the body, shock the body!" That's what I need to be doing. There are two areas where I can accomplish this: my diet and my workouts.
My plan with my workouts that I've already somewhat started is to alternate between body weight cardio based circuit type workouts and heavy lifting workouts. Then twice per week... combine them. I've been doing this for the last week and it's been brutal! I'll be alternating between low rep heavy & high rep light/body weight as often as possible.
Cardio- I'm already doing more cardio than I ever have- and my cardio has contributed to how rapidly I've been able to lean out. I'll be continuing my cardio routine and will keep building my distance on Sundays with a long endurance run.
Diet- this is where things get new for me... because of my intense Sunday runs and the need to shock my body I'm going to try carb cycling. I've been very plain and clean when it comes to my diet. Hitting the same macros every day. However, because I haven't been seeing enough change given my input I've decided to try something new. Stay tuned 🙆🏻
