MBT Zee 17 - my first pair of MBTs. First noticed this brand at a race pack collection at Novena Square and only thought that were makers of comfortable walking sandals only to realize now that they make running shoes too!
I've tried several types of shoes of different brands from racers, to neutral and to structured cushioned shoes. After all the trial and errors, I came to realise that I can't do without decent cushioning and racers are not for me :( even though I liked how they glide during tempo runs.
Even with proper cushioning, I sometimes still encounter foot pain from plantar fasciitis whenever I increase my training mileage and fail to do some proper calf stretching.
On many occasions, after a mileage weekend, I had to rest for some 3-4 days for the pain to go away or try a speedy recovery by rolling those golf balls under my feet and bear with the plantar pain whenever I had to stay on track with my training.
Thanks to @mbtsingapore, I found some relief wearing these shoes for my recovery runs. Though I had some difficulty adjusting at the start due to the rocker profile of the shoes, I felt it alleviated my plantar pain as compared to my regular road running shoes.
And after having carried weight on my hydration pack over the past year, @ch3ongst3r noticed I began to have a slight hunch. Because these rocker bottom shoes propels the body in a forward moving motion, it somehow helped to improve my running gait and posture. I'm now more mindful of how a good running posture can prevent injuries and keep me running for as long as I can.
I have found my go-to shoes when I want to run - after a long run.
Thanks again @mbtsingapore 🙌🏼
