Silly fact about me: I only put flowers I LOVE in the garden. Except for this salvia. Truthfully, I'm not very fond of salvia. It stinks. If it gets water on it, it falls over. It is prone to powdery mildew.
The upside is it attracts lots of bees, it is drought tolerant, and when it first blooms in the spring it is a glorious explosion of purple. The couple of plants I have, I orginally put in as fillers. As time has gone on, I've found one thing to be very true: if you don't love it, don't plant it. I'm the same way with clothes. If I don't love it, I'll never wear.
So the question is...do I keep the salvia? Or replace it with something I love? 🤔
