it was sauna evening and that means i was going to use May Lindstrom's The Pendulum Potion. i rarely use oil cleansers in fear of over-exfoliating my skin with washcloth. however, i find that using oil cleanser + facial cloth combo once per week is beneficial for my skin. especially now that i don't use BHA all over my face anymore, this combo is really the best way to remove dead skin layer, leaving my skin smooth and clean. and even with acid toners, i think physical exfoliation is good every now and then.
although i can't do oil cleansers (or generally non-emulsifying oil-based cleansers, i.e. balm-to-oil, gel-to-oil) more often, i do think oil cleansers are brilliant. nourishing, not drying, not stripping. my skin feels bouncy and healthy afterwards.
May Lindstrom's The Pendulum Potion is perfect for this colder weather. its scent is divine and there's nothing quite like it. i've tried three May Lindstrom products so far and this one is my favorite (the other two products are The Jasmine Garden and The Blue Cocoon). its texture is just right for massaging on skin. generally, i've come to really enjoy this oil cleanser.
honorable mention: Jordan Samuel Skin The Skincare Cloth. no surprise here. my skin simply feels a lot better with it. it's in my Hall of Fame now.
pretty certain i did use the eye cream this time. :")
