Pilates Spine Stretch.

When my hamstrings are tight and I really want to elongate my spine and postural muscles, my go to exercise is the Pilates Spine stretch. You do so little here but get so much in return.

Although today I progressed it a lot by taking it off the floor and removing the base of support thereby activating a lot of strength work - and I mean a lot!

This was a challenge!

🎉 I'm back!!! Happy Friday! How are you guys doing? I'm feeling great, specially after I exercise. As you can see, I finally left the hospital!!! •

My first Radioactive Treatment was kind crazy. I was a bit afraid because it was a group of 6 doctors in front of me, preparing my room and explaining me about the treatment...😦 •

Basically what this treatment does is to kill any remaining cancer cells that the surgeon could not remove on my surgery. It's a pill and after you take it, you are radioactive. That means you can't be close to people for about 1 week, specially pregnant women. Also is not recommended to be close to animals. •

So because of that my husband left home with our cats (😿🙇‍😿)...Most radiation is gone in about one week. I'll be home alone until next week. •

The next step from this treatment is to get your whole body scan. This scan will provide information about whether and where there is any remaining cancer (praying for not find anything else so I can have peace on my mind) 😌...•

That's it guys! I know I don't need to tell you so much about my personal life but I think is important for you to know what is going on with my fitness journey. Just want to show you that we all have problems BUT if you take some time to exercise you will not only be doing good for your body but also for your mind. Trust me. Wake up and do it. You don't need one hour everyday. If you can exercise 30min at least 3 days a week, you will feel much better. •

Traditional #matwork focuses lots on the #core, but if you don't have studio equipment, there are many great ways to add in more arm and leg work with props 🌟 the rollout maintains the #corechallenge of a #plank while adding in a total arm workout - deltoids, biceps, triceps, lats, traps, chest, serratus anterior - you need it all to get out and back in!
1️⃣ Beg: lead back with the hips (shown) or bend at the waist going out and back in
2️⃣ Int: keep a straight line from shoulders to hips to knees
3️⃣ Adv: full body extension - don't forget to breathe! Can you see me shaking? 😛
