Because of my skin issues, I decided to lower my caffeine in take. On the days I do consume caffeine I always drink it on a full stomach (keeps the energy highs and lows at bay). I also add collagen and adaptogens in order make them pack a real punch! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

While I still do love the taste of coffee, I almost as equally love the taste of matcha. It’s time release caffeine so it’s a lot more sustainable for your body to handle (no crash or jitters) and it’s chalk full of antioxidants (1 cup of matcha is like drinking 15 cups of regular green tea with how many antioxidants you’re in taking!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So here’s my go to recipe to make your own creamy, frothy matcha:
1 tsp @davidstea matcha matsu
1 tbsp @nutiva coconut manna
1/2-1 tbsp of maple syrup
1/2-1 tsp cinnamon
1.5 cups hot (NOT boiling- it’ll burn the tea!) water ⠀⠀⠀⠀
* ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Optional, but highly recommended:
1 tbsp @organikahealth enhanced collagen ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 scoop @vitajingherbs rhodiola. This is like my own natural antidepressant. It lowers cortisol, reduces mental and physical fatigue and brain fog, and improves brain function. I’ve experienced a huge difference since taking this for the last 6 months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 scoop @vitajingherbs he shou wu. It makes me feel more calm and balanced, which it is known to do since it is an adaptogen. Just gives me that extra boost of stability both mentally and physically for my day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌸 I’m generally a creature of habit. I wake up at the same time each day, brush my teeth, walk my dogs, then come home to a warm cup of matcha, which I make the same way. Every single day. Lately, however, I’ve been feeling unsatisfied by my morning mug of magic. The coconut butter that gives it that creaminess factor was also adding a flavor and texture that I was growing bored of. So I decided to switch it up 💁🏻‍♀️ This is how I’ve been having my matcha for the past week and it’s reeeeally been hitting the spot. 6 oz hot water
6 oz @califiafarms almond milk (I use original unsweetened)
1 tsp matcha

blend for 30 seconds, then top with a little more chocolatey goodness 😍

Matcha Love 🍵
I’ll be totally honest, as much as I’d love to say that I wake up early enough to properly make the matcha latte that I love, I don’t. I wake up with exactly the bare minimum amount of time it takes me to hustle out the door. This is something I’m actively trying to change. But, I’m changing a lot of aspects of my lifestyle, so I give myself patience, and grace and encouragement.
Today, I woke up early enough.
In my latte:
Matcha, collagen, cashew mylk, mct oil, ashwaganda, moringa, and ghee.
I try to use as many Canadian companies as possible! They are all tagged in the photo ☀️

Matcha Beauty Potion 🍵 #marjoriedrinks

12 ounces of hot water
1 1/2 teaspoons of matcha
1 teaspoon of @animamundiherbals plant based collagen*
1 tablespoon of @animamundiherbals coconut cream powder
1 1/2 teaspoons of coconut butter @pearlbutter's secret ingredient
1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom**
* I am fortunate to find this plant based collagen brand composed of adaptogens, ancient herbs, and flowers known to support, beautify, repair, and restore. But feel free to use your favorite brand of collagen!
** There are vanilla beans in my pantry, so sometimes I enjoy using half a vanilla bean instead of cardamom for my potion. Quality vanilla bean powder works too!

I drink this potion about 3 times a week, most especially when I'm not feeling my best! If you want it on the sweeter side, coconut sugar does the trick or honey. And best enjoyed in your favorite mug! The pink beauty featured here is @alexandriacummingsceramics from @alison__wu's inspirational workshop!

Fresh matcha potion made with equal parts almond milk + filtered hot water, 1 tsp of vanilla MCT oil, 1 tsp of @moodbeli calming blend, 2 tsp @matchalove organic matcha, hella cinnamon, and 1 tsp of raw honey. All blended on high for 2 minutes.

Matcha potion travel edition: Mix matcha (nabbed this little tin in Kyoto), MCT powder, and Yin Power in a few ounces of hot water. Whisk whisk whisk (with a wooden matcha whisk). Once it is a consistent paste, add more water, Collagen and ghee.
