1. Place one foot totally on a plate to give yourself more room.
2. Then switch legs to pistol on other side.

“Remember when you couldn’t snatch 75lb? Remember when 100lb was a big deal?” That’s all @cf3040 needed to say to make me appreciate the growth over the past year. All I wanted today was a 60kg snatch, but it didn’t happen. I skipped snatch days for over a year when I started CrossFit. I found my love for them in weightlifting. It didn’t happen today, but I tried my hardest.
Things to be happy about: I’ve consistently been able to hit 51-55kg without hesitating or overthinking it this last month. Virtually out of no where my mind clicked and just started going for it.
I don’t cry anymore 😂 but I still get close. And my gym is super supportive. Thank you ❤️ big 😘 to @missrms58

Like so many Masters athletes, I have a job to help finance my gym habits. Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) is one professional hat I wear. Living in a rural community the fact that we have an entire team to cover 24/7 shifts should speak to you. I’d be happy if this job was phased out due to lack of reporting but that seems to be an unachievable hope in my lifetime.
I don’t like to lose.
Getting strong physically in my gym space has been paramount in supporting my strength mentally and emotionally. Because there’s a lot of fucking work to do on this topic.
The gym is both an outlet AND a source of rejuvenation.
Are there any downsides to getting strong? I would say, “No. Hell, no.”
