A very delightful lunch under the tree with traditional Malay dishes. My choice today includes peria masak telur (iron rich bittergourd with egg), ikan goreng bawang tomato (fried fish with onions and tomato), ulam - ulam raja, cucumber and long beans (raw herb & vegetables) and a very delicious sambal tempoyak (chili with fermented durian). A must to eat with my hand and wash it down with a cold rose syrup.
Eating well is essential post #scklm2017 as I prep my body for the next endurance race.
#MindfulEating is not just about eating your fruits and veggies. It is also making sure that I have on my plate all possible nutrition components. And something that I often do not eat enough is carbs!
Taking the recommendations and advise of the dietitian whom I met for my #AIAVitalityMY dietary assessment, I am making sure I have carbs, fibre and protein in as many meals as possible.
