Freshly baked currant scones served with mango lemon jam from yesterday. I used the simple scones recipe from @allrecipes with great results.
Changes to the recipe: cubed the butter and froze it in a ziplock bag instead of using a grater. Also had to extend the cooking time since I have an old gas oven. Kept the temp at 400F for 17 mins then lowered to 350F and baked another 3-4 mins. I might brush the tops with egg whites next time to get nice golden tops.
