Marilyn Monroe photographed by Bert Stern in 1962.
The last photoshoot, taken six weeks prior to the actress` death in August, captures Marilyn covered in sparkling diamonds and smiling at the photographer. “The Last Sitting” (Diamonds), commissioned by Vogue, was shot in the span of three days.
Bert Stern, one of the leading photographers of his time, shot two more series of photo with Marilyn: “Contact Sheet”, “Black Dress, Laughing”. The smile on Monroe`s face makes one wonder what secrets can be hidden behind the mask of fame and luxury.
