#HipsDontLie. My hips sure didn't! ๐Ÿ˜… 2 years back, I was taught both these poses and couldn't even manage half, not to mention one. One year down the road, could manage maybe half. Went for some amazing hip classes and this is me now. I didn't aim to be strong, or flexible. I wanted to be both and because I want to achieve that goal, I had to do what I needed to in order to attain those goals. My favourite go to stretches for the hips โžก๏ธ #Baddhakonasana / Happy baby / Pigeon / Seated Straddle Stretch / Sumo squat and Lizard Pose. I spend at least 1 minute in each of these. At the beginning all I felt was pain in the first 10 seconds and I had to stop. Slowly I increased the intensity (aka time) of each of these stretches. Over time, it felt less painful and the hips started to listen ๐Ÿ™‚. Keep the #practiceandalliscoming ๐ŸŒพ

#TransformationTuesday moment: I've been thinking a lot about where I've been and where I'm going. It's so easy to get caught up in what we haven't accomplished, all the things that still feel unbelievably out of reach, that we forget how far we've already come and how hard we've fought to make it here.
Today I just wanted to send some love to all the people that have not only tolerated me, but SUPPORTED me, everyday I've struggled through my "worst." Each day, I take a tiny step closer to being the best version of myself and I'm so honored to have those same people by my side - day in and day out. I never would have made it here alone, so thank you friends...I hope you know who you are and how much my gratitude for you inspires me to pay it forward, daily.

My ideal day. โžก๏ธ Take the dogs for a run at dawn followed by 1/2 day of yoga, teach yoga after, relax at home or maybe catch up with a friend for tea, catch a movie with the better half in the evening and wind down after. That is not happening at this moment tho but a girl can dream no? ๐Ÿ˜‰. Have you wondered what your life would be if things turned out differently? I sometimes do but at the end of the day, I'm living a reality. I may not have a lot of money, may not have married a rich guy, I don't stay in a massive house but I am very grateful for what I have - a ๐Ÿก I call my own, a ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿฝ who loves me, 3 ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ I love so much, some ๐Ÿ’ฐ to buy (very few) Lulus and some funky yoga getup and my 2 passions ๐ŸŽค ๐ŸŽถ & ๐Ÿ•‰ which I enjoy doing so much. Without these, my life might very well be ... different ... so I'm embracing my life anyway. It could have been much better, but it could also be worse. Be grateful for what God has given each and every one of us ๐ŸŒน

Feeling zen right now after 9 hours of yoga across 3 days. That's enough a marathon for me. No yoga pictures this time which i was pretty upset about because at one point i felt ready for Kapotasana's full expression. Vinyasa-ed through loads of backbends, handstands, hanumanasanas. Now i need to figure out how to hide my back and shoulder muscles which are getting too muscular for dresses. ๐Ÿคฃ

Today started with my first @projectbyequinox experience and, I must say, I spent half of @gerrenliles' class obsessing over the gorgeous space and how many photoshoots I want to have in there.
