Yesterday was our first test of the new Eurotek Oklahoma City / Lettering Express Ducati Panigale 1299S racebike. This test was really nothing more of a shakedown since the bike has undergone it's changeover from street to race form. As expected, we had a few issues. The DQS quick-shifter failed to work all day and the traction control was over-intrusive on corner exits. After looking at the data from the DDA+, the TCS was incorrectly set too high. That's an easy fix. Gearing was another problem, but now that we have that data, we can easily fix that too.
Happily, the pace was far faster than expected! Even with the OEM Pirellis still mounted and the TCS choking the thrust, I still circled the track just 2 seconds slower our last racer that's running slicks and race-prepped suspension!
The next test will again be at Hallett on September 2nd-3rd. This will be on Pirelli slicks and final CMRA race prep!
Thank you to @eurotek_okc And @lewrapsokc, and Ducati USA for getting the bike ready, @bellissimoto and P1Racing for the go-fast parts, @redcoyoterunning for keeping me fit, and My Biker Attorney for the support!!! #ducati #ducatisti #hallettraceway #hallett #cmra #panigale #panigale1299 #panigale1299s #pirelli #pirellitires #brembo #brembobrakes #akrapovicexhaust #schuberth #schuberthsr1 #taichi #rstaichi #sidi #sidimag1 #marchesini #cncracing @cncracingofficial
