First running WOD at the box tonight in pairs, 10 rounds of:
Partner A: 400m run
Partner B: 30 air squats on even rounds, 30 jumping lunges on odd rounds. Then switch.
That sucked, include the doms from front rack rear lunges and playing with the slug (baby worm) on Sunday, it made my air squats terrible, and my lunges more like a collapsing pylon!
However much I despise running, I loved every minute of tonight, and although I finished last, and struggled to get anywhere near to completing the squats or lunges, I kept running from start to finish on each round, that is a big thing for me. Now I just need to stop listening to that small part of my brain that doubts itself during the WOD, which will be a big challenge. Thanks as always to coach @hitcharlesworth for a great workout and support, and the whole crew there tonight for running an extra 400m to support me on my last round. This will become part of my regular training so that I can turn a weakness into a strength while building an engine
