SAVE TIGGER! (Adoption Fees are waived since over 40lbs!) Public must #adopt or #foster this publicly adoptable dog by 12PM ET tomorrow 5-25-2017; otherwise she will be killed at #Manhattan Center.
My name is #TIGGER. My Animal ID #A1112364. I am a female brown and white #pitbull. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old. I came in the shelter as a #STRAY on 05/18/2017 because OWNER DIED. She is on the kill list due to KENNEL COUGH, which is a HIGHLY treatable dog cold.
A volunteer writes: We all know the #loveable character Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, and I could fill this space with memorable Tigger quotes, such as, “Once in a while someone amazing comes along, and here I am”. And our Tigger is seriously amazing, making the best out of a hard situation. She and her #best #friend, a #Chihuahua, joined us when their owner #died, and even though her world has turned upside down, she’s #affectionate, #friendly, and #happy to meet new people. A walk to the park on a brutally hot day gave her a chance to go potty and show off her dreamy leash #manners. Once in the park, tethered for photos, she plopped down #froggy style, gave kisses and rolled over for belly rubs. Treats are taken #gently from my hand, her tail #wags some more, I get more #kisses, and she gets more #belly #rubs. It’s clear that Tigger was #loved, nicely socialized and beautifully taken care of. Wagging her tail in a gentle hello, she wanted to meet a small dog walking in the park. More memorable Tigger quotes sum up our girl: “How do you spell love? You don’t spell it, you feel it”. And, “I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Never, no never. Your friendship is the best present ever”. Come meet our girl, feel her love, and give her the best present ever. You.
If LOCAL to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about #adopting or #fostering, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.
