If you’re like me, you probably slightly tinge green with envy every time you scroll through @Instagram and see the photos of all these amazing adventures, and beautiful places others get to experience. But, when you step back, you soon realize that not each and every photo represents a unique trip. Oftentimes numerous posts will be the result of a single adventure. Never mistake what you see on social media for every day reality. Instead use it as inspiration for your own life. Create your own path. Learn, love, and share with others. Seek out and spread inspiration. Enjoy every step, and tread with a patience that allows you to presently experience each moment with all your senses. You never know where your path will lead when you just get out there and experience your own way.
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to venture into the Manistee National Forest in Michigan with a good friend, and for the first time I got to do so with a legit camera instead of using my crappy phone. While the trip had its share of ups and downs (particularly the launch of our island campsite being used as a beach by upwards of 20-25+ people while we were up river in our canoe fishing and taking in the scenery), I will never take for granted the moments of serenity and natural beauty we get to experience in nature. There’s plenty more photos where this came from, to be shared another day. Find your inspiration and enjoy the views.
