The Chaturanga Asana strengthens the Solar Plexus, or Manipura Chakra located in the navel area, which has become my “weakest link” since having a baby.

A healthy and balanced Manipura Chakra is associated with confidence and core strength, two things I have been greatly lacking. “The solar plexus chakra is known as the “lustrous gem” energy center within our bodies because it shines brightly like the sun when balanced.” As such, it is distinguished by the color YELLOW.

🌻Use yellow herbs like ginger, chamomile, lemongrass, rosemary and marshmallow leaf
🌻Stop playing victim
🌻Meditate envisioning an open and bright yellow sunflower over your solar plexus chakra
🌻Use yellow crystals like citrine, tigers eye, topaz and amber
🌻Engage in yoga poses that strengthen the “core” or manipura chakra
“Core work” can and should be done everyday. The “Serratus anterior, transversals abdominal, internal oblique, external oblique, recurs abdominals- these muscle all make up your CORE. Your core muscle is a very thin muscle unlike the other muscles in the body. You can train your core everyday and not have to worry about overtraining.” So it needs to be trained everyday to go “from paper thin muscles, to thick, strong muscles.”
