A taste of the Mediterranean! (Scroll right on the picture for more photos)
This is the first time I've made so much Lebanese food. In no particular order: - Chicken Shawarma - Falafels with Tahini dip - Za'atar manakeesh (with and without cheese) - Thoum dip (a garlic dip which is something akin to mayonnaise except much better!) The chicken shawarma wraps were made from scratch, and so were the falafels and the garlic thoum dip.
The Za'atar manakeesh was just a matter of getting the za'atar from the store along with the flatbread and then combining the za'atar with olive oil, topping it up on the flatbread and then baking it in the oven for a few minutes.
I grew up eating Lebanese food a lot back during my years living in the Emirates and these were some of my staple favourites to eat then. Phew. I feel like having accomplished something big here!
