Makeup Inventory: Eyebrow Products
My eyebrows are also one of those things I don't like leaving the house without doing, so I've definitely tried my fair share of products. The Benefit High Brow was something I got in a set, but I don't think I ever would have wanted this because it's a bit too light and too pink for me, despite it being a "universal" color. But I try to use it when I'm doing a more fill face of makeup to carve out my brows a bit more before using foundation, since I do my brows first.
The Dipbrow is also something I don't really like but I'm gonna try again in the winter, it's just way too hot right now to even try and wear it out. I just find it way too heavy and I already have pretty full brows, so it's really easy to use way too much for me.
I am really a fan of tinted brow gel these days, and I've been using the Essence one. What I tend to do is use a angled brush and use it kind of how other people would use a pomade. It is a bit sheer though, but I'm not sure if that's supposed to be that way or it's just this brand. I saw a post the other day an argument how the Glossier one is better because it's a bit more pigmented. Should I try the Glossier one when I run out?
The last combination I do is clear brow gel + a brow pencil. Before I used the Brow Boss gel from Colourpop but I finished that in my last project so I decided to try the Essence one since it was cheaper, and I like it better. For brow pencil I've done the Smashbox pencil, the ABH Brow Wiz, the Nyx Microbrow, and the WetnWild Retractable. For a while I was obsessed with the last one and went through 3, but as I'm on my current one, I don't like it as much anymore. I'm noticing it's a bit too waxy and some of my brow hair comes out when I use it. I think I'm just going to use this up and probably go back to the Nyx Microbrow when I'm going for the pencil + gel look.
