If you’re feeling inundated, buried, or drowning in overwhelm, it’s time to take your power back!
Sit down and dump everything out of your brain and into a big huge list of EVERY single thing you:
Need to do,
are Responsible for,
are late doing,
have been avoiding,
should do now or soon,
wish you never agreed to do,
want to do but don’t have time,
and ANYTHING else you can think of that contributes to the pressure. When you see it in front of you, out of your mind, you’ll already feel more in control. .
Part 2... divide each thing on your list into one of three categories: DO it, DELEGATE it, or DUMP it!
The DO it list is for things that ONLY you can do or that urgently need you to do soon (responding to personal requests, appointments, conversations, self care, certain project aspects).
The DELEGATE it list is for things you can get someone else to do FOR you. Even if you exchange favours or pay someone, if it’s off your list and makes you happy, DELEGATE IT! (help with tasks, chores, some responsibilities, etc)
The last is the most fun! The DUMP it list is for things that keep getting pushed away, that don’t matter any more, that have lost complete priority and will not harm anyone if you DE-commit to them or don’t eve even do them, (fixing that thing you “might” use some day, saying yes to everyone for everything, those “shoulds” that don’t resonate for you, whatever’s in that box or drawer you keep meaning to get to).
Now go back over your DO it list and add even more things to you DUMP it and DELEGATE it. We tend to take on too much. .
Now you have more clarity and hopefully a lot of relief! I believe in you 💕
