When you're developing goals, are you creating them with your life goals in mind? 💖
Several years ago, I wanted money. I just wanted to not be broke. I was married at the time. Then I was free to be me, and do me, and I wanted to enjoy myself freely. 💖
Now, I'm still developing income streams to do the same, however, I'm also focused on setting up an income stream, or several opportunities for them, that will be turnkey as I plan to become a wife and mother in the next few years. 💖
My current vision is to create residual and continuous income in a manner that would allow me to fully support my husband's needs/desires in a wife without having to financially depend on him. (And maybe double our revenue by giving him the game plan to build his own business.) 💖
So when I think of things, I try not to think of today alone, but: - 3-6 months in advance... the goals I need to accomplish there, and how they will impact what I really want to do - 6-12 months from the current date ... aka start a new service, or break into a new industry.
Then I'll structure my spending, investments, or expenses to reflect where I'm going. Examples:
I may invest in paying off a debt in full today just so I know 3-6 months down the line, I'll have the extra money I'm no longer paying toward that bill.
I recently paid a $2K card that was on my back for years. It was only $75 extra per month, but now I have an extra $900 for the year.
I can break down 50/50 - $450 for a trip and $450 into savings,
66.6/33.3 - $600 for savings and $300 for a social media class,
Or credit it forward - maybe roll all $900 completely into a $1200 training for me business, which would only then require me to attract/create another $300, and the expense would be written off in taxes.
When I Know What I want to Accomplish, Even if It's 1-2 Years from Now, I Can Make Small Steps NOW.
