Heya everyone! Thank you for being here! I'm Amy, the person behind all the flowers 🌺 🌻🌸and lettering over here. I'm wife to Kevin and mama to two little ones. We live in Minnesota and spend our days much like you, maybe. Schedule keeping, appointment driving, meal making, outside playing, nap taking, and loving. Who knew I would learn and grow more in these past 4 years as a momma and 7 years as a wife than I ever had before? And over the past year and a half as a little Etsy shop owner... I've learned a whole lot there too. Selling and marketing my art has lead me to paint, for one reason or another, almost every single day. A couple times a day. Practicing isn't something I love to do - I love to just be good at something at the get-go (so humble, right? 🤦🏼♀️ Gosh). But there's absolutely no way to make your dreams work, if you're not working hard to make them happen. So after a year of painting wooden signs I finally made myself sit down and think about how to further challenge myself. Enter: the study of flowers. Curves, texture, whimsical grace. And they occur naturally, with zero help from us (other than water - when I remember). Humans are SO drawn to nature. We decorate with flowers, display pictures of mountains & beautiful scenery in our homes, we place love-y💕 quotes in prominent places to see regularly. God's creation awes & inspires & softens us in profound ways. Newborn babies, blooming fields of wild flowers, towering mountains, endless forests... there is a space in us that God reserved for himself in our hearts. And nothing can satisfy that space except for Him. Everything He created glows that truth if we allow our hearts to feel it. That still, small voice reaching out amidst all the clamoring, scary, anxiety-ridden parts of life. He is the light in our darkness and hope for this world. He decorates the earth with lovely flowers and soothes us with deep, blue bodies of water. No wonder we are rendered speechless at the very sight of His creation. What does it for you? Mountains? Lakes? Flowers? His still, small voice in flowers gets me every time. Every elegant detail, and vibrant color hand-made by Him... for us.
