During my Maker-in-Residence week at @danburylibrary, I'll be teaching a class for adults titled Getting Started in Woodworking. This class is for adults who don’t have a woodshop but would like to make simple DIY projects at home, and includes: -A walkthrough of how to buy lumber and materials -How to use basic tools -Techniques for cutting and joining wood
Attendees will make their own take-home project, a Shaker Pegboard Shelf.
This class will be over the course of two evenings: students should plan to be there on both Monday and Tuesday. For adults who are new to woodworking.
Maximum 5 attendees- sign up now to reserve your spot!
Sign up for this WOMEN-ONLY woodworking class at Danbury Library! Each person will make their own pine end table to take home. We'll use a miter saw to cut boards to length, a drill/driver to attach the pieces with counterbored and plugged holes, and a palm sander to sand it all smooth. No experience necessary-- these skills will help you get started in woodworking so you can do more projects at home!
To sign up, go to danburylibrary.org and click on "Events". This class is FREE with a $15 materials fee.
The maker/author talk will be the first event in my maker-in-residence series the last week of June at @danburylibrary.
