Well, I posted an add on our town's community Facebook group a couple of days ago, which I think has almost half as many members are there are residents in our town. With the view of gigging locally.
Other than for a few likes here and there I haven't gained any traction from it. So I'm gonna do a little pub crawl when we get back to try and get myself out there.
If I'm again unsuccessful then I'm gonna try getting some gigs in Dundee, where I'm told the music scene is good. It's about 17 miles from us, but the train fare there is dirt cheap mileage wise compared to down here and I figured that if I scope my performances I'll likely make my train fares back in tips by the end of most evenings.
Until then I figured I should probably just spend my time live streaming my performances on as many streaming platforms as possible, for as long as possible, whenever I have a spare half an hour or an hour free. Because I'm now feeling as comfortable on camera as I am off of it. Which to those of you who've known me the longest might seem like quite a transformation. Which is exactly what it feels like to me and I think it's partly this which is helping me attract new fans/followers.
If you feel relaxed you relax your audience and you can think more clearly. Which means that your audience can enjoy conversing with you and I think when I'm relaxed I'm more likely (sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally) to make people laugh... ...and if my audiences have no interest in my music whatsoever, but they keep coming back because I make them laugh. Then I'm quite happy to play the circus clown. 😂😂😂 #Periscope #LiveStreaming #LiveBroadcasting #Acoustic #Singing #Guitar #Music #GuitarPlaying #Guitarist #Gigs #Giggng #Arbroath #ArbroathMusic #ArbroathMusicScene #Dundee #DundeeMusic #DundeeMusicScene #Joke #Jokes #Humour #Humor #Banter #MakeEmLaugh
