So in an attempt to #makecardiofunagain I did some battle ropes!

Same intervals as the last cardio I posted!
5 minutes:
10 seconds alternating hands
20 seconds break
10 seconds rope slams hands together
20 seconds break
Repeat until you reach 5 minutes!

Changing up my workouts and cardio lately has helped me to enjoy the gym again and I am so happy to be feeling like myself again 🤗

Let’s be real cardio can be super boring
Walking on the treadmill or riding the elliptical may be you jam but if it isn’t, find a different way
Go for a hike, ski or snowboard, snowshoe or hell just throw on some boots and walk through snow, dance, kayack, swim, rock climb, crawl, play the drums!
Stimulate your brain! Make it challenging, but make it fun. Life is way too short to do anything you dread.

Cardio is not always fun... But it can be delicious!

Taught myself a new trick (and broke in a new pair of tights)! 💦 💡💡Everyone knows the crossover, double cross over, backwards cross and sachet, BUT reversing the direction of the rope WITHOUT being in the jump AND turning with it at the same time is a lot harder. Usually you jump rope in one place, moving with it and switching direction freely is an unnatural feeling but sooo fun! The whip marks are worth it. 👍🏼#makecardiofunagain •••

Today was 20 minutes
jump rope/boxing/burpees 🔄 make a plan, set a timer, and don’t stop moving. (That’s #whysoserious). Lot of mindfulness, little breath-work, little anger management, lot of LET IT GO 😤💦😅👊🏽#makecardiofunagain Where are my weekend warriors at?!
