Kai's tip for the weekend: Going easy. Don't underestimate the power of just taking it easy, relaxing and going on an easy run. A lot of people think that they need to go really hard all the time for every workout. It'll feel good for the first couple weeks, but then your body will start getting more and more tired and take longer to recover. A lot of base work is done at low intensity below 80% Max HR. Going on an easy run with no timer or watch or goal, besides just relaxing, is a good way to stretch out, free your mind, and not worry about going fast or catching the next bump. This is important when you're on your rest week, keep the intensity low, go on a fun downwind and don't worry about how fast you're going. See you guys on the water...
