The new coffee table! From furniturecityhistory.org : "The Mahogany Association was established in 1936 as a guarantee to buyers that their furniture was constructed from genuine mahogany and not some lesser wood stained to resemble mahogany.
Each furniture manufacturer had their own Association label carrying their company’s individual number. For example, all mahogany furniture made during that time period by the Imperial Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids, carried a label with the number 123; no other company could use that number. Manufacturers all over the United States used the Association labels." This one is labeled with 184, which is presently an unknown manufacturer. There are a few chips in the veneer and there is one part of the apron that needs repair, but I think it's super awesome. #vintage #midcentury #artnouveau #mahoganyveneer
